Chapter 132 of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man will release on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. It will be available to readers free of charge via the Viz Media website, Shōnen Jump, and Manga Plus app. The entire series library is also available to paying members of Shōnen Jump Plus.

Chapter 131 of Chainsaw Man came out on May 30, with a two-week break scheduled before the next installment of the hit series. The latest chapter, “Taste of Crap,” followed on from the cliffhanger left at the climax of Chapter 130, which saw Denji and Asa close to being devoured by a giant devil. They went straight into the creature’s mouth in the recently released chapter before being vomited back up by the unknown devil. In a fit of rage, the Falling Devil killed the monster for not appreciating her meal.
After this, The Falling Devil turned and apologized to Fami, the mastermind behind the attempt to get Asa devoured. Fami then ordered her to return, and The Falling Devil turned into a small effigy of her initial appearance. Readers then discovered that Nayuta was present and had forced the unknown devil to vomit Asa and Denji up by convincing them that human flesh tastes like “crap.” Fami revealed that she performed this act hoping to get the War Fiend under her control, as she is the only one capable of stopping Nostradamus’ Prophecy that will fill the world with Devils.
Chainsaw Man is currently in its second major arc, known as the “Academy” saga. The long-running series still ranks as one of the most popular animanga properties in the industry, with the 2022 anime from Studio MAPPA helping to increase its appeal. This comes despite reports from the company’s CEO that it fell below expectations. The story of Denji has continued to inspire fan art and cosplays, with a recent Makima costume showing the Control Devil in action. There is no official confirmation for Chainsaw Man Season 2 at the time of writing.
